Driven to spread financial literacy early amongst youth, I co-founded FLAG Finance during my sophomore year. FLAG is dedicated to equipping youth with essential financial skills to navigate today’s increasingly complex economic landscape. The idea was born from a realization that many students lack access to practical financial education, and I wanted to bridge that gap by creating dynamic, engaging, and age-appropriate content for middle and high school communities.
Through interactive workshops, gamified challenges, and peer-led presentations, FLAG Finance covers key topics like budgeting, saving, credit management, investing, and responsible financial decision-making. Each session is designed to simplify complex financial concepts and foster engagement through real-world scenarios and hands-on activities.
We’ve partnered with non profit organizations in the community and created chapters to scale FLAG to enable wider reach across the stated. This initiative continues to inspire youth to take control of their financial futures—and for me, it stands as a testament to the power of student innovation and civic responsibility, one spreadsheet, pitch deck, and dollar at a time.
